Age Limit

• Upper age limit will be 40 years as on the last date prescribed for the receipt of completed Applications.

• In the case of Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/Backward Class/PH, the age relaxation will be as per the Government norms

• Candidates in service can apply up to 45 years of age, as on the last date of application.

Essential Qualification

• Master’s Degree in History or Archaeology

• PhD in themes related to the History and   Archaeology of Kerala

• Proven Experience in research-related problems in Kerala History.

Desirable Qualification / Experience

• At least two publications in reputed journals

• Proficiency in Computer applications

• Innovative experience in coordinating research projects.

Responsibilities

Providing leadership to research, documentation, publication, and training activities, preparation of projects, reports, budget proposals, and study material, organising academic events, advocacy, and liaising with national and international agencies, universities, research institutions, and government departments, and any other dut,y including teaching and field studies as and when required.

Service Conditions

The service conditions will be as per the KCHR Service Rules.

Selection Procedure

Selection will be made on the basis of a written test and an interview of the shortlisted candidates. Merely satisfying the eligibility norms will not entitle a candidate to be shortlisted. If necessary, other modes of evaluation will be employed to evaluate competence.
